Terms of service

In effect from 19 August 2026.

What this service is

Vocabify analyses Spanish texts and tells you what vocabulary and grammar they use. You give it a text; it returns a frequency-ranked word list, a difficulty score and a breakdown of verb forms. It does not show you the text back, and it is not a reader.

By using it you agree to what is on this page. If you do not, do not use it — no part of the service requires an account, so nothing is lost by walking away.

What you may upload

Only texts you have the right to use. That includes books you own, public-domain works, and anything you wrote yourself.

You may not upload copy-protected files or attempt to strip protection from them. Kindle books are the common case and the answer is no; this is a boundary rather than a missing feature.

Your file is analysed and discarded within the request — we never store it, and no other user can ever retrieve it. What persists is the statistical result, which is shared: analyse a book someone else has already analysed and you get their result rather than paying to compute it again. A text you analyse is never listed publicly unless you choose to list it.

Daily limits

Analysis costs real processing time, so every tier has a ceiling on words per day. They are set high enough that ordinary reading never meets them, and exist to stop one person exhausting the service for everybody else.

TierWords per dayRoughly
Without an account300,0004 novels
Free account1,500,00020 novels

The ceiling refills daily. Re-viewing or re-filtering something already analysed is free and does not count against it.

Without an account

You can analyse 3 books without signing up, with nothing held back — every feature works. After that, analysing a new book needs a free account.

  • It counts distinct books, not uploads. Re-opening something you have already analysed is always free and never uses one.
  • The books come with you. Making an account keeps everything you analysed before it, along with any words you marked as known.
  • This limit is tied to your browser. Clearing your cookies loses the work you have not claimed, which an account is the way to avoid.

Paying

There is nothing to pay. Every feature is free, an account costs nothing, and we take no payment details. There is no subscription, no trial that expires and no card on file.

If that ever changes, it will change here first and it will not apply retroactively to work you have already done.

Reporting content

If something in the public library is wrong, offensive, or should not be public, tell us through the contact page.

Reports are reviewed by a person, not acted on automatically. An endpoint that unlisted anything on report would let one person empty the library, so a report opens a queue rather than pulling the entry. Unlisting is cheap and reversible, and we act quickly once we have looked.

For a claim that an upload itself was unlawful: the file is already gone — it was never stored — but write to us and we will remove the derived record and any listing.

What we do not promise

The analysis is produced by automated language tools and it will sometimes be wrong: a word may get the wrong dictionary form, a name may be mistaken for a noun, a translation may be off. Every analysis has a report control for exactly this, and we would rather hear about it. But do not treat the output as authoritative — it is a study aid, not a reference work.

The service is provided as it is. We do not guarantee it will be available without interruption, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend an account that is attacking the service, uploading unlawful material, or deliberately working around the limits above — and we will say why.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will change the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance; if you would rather not, delete your account.
